Oyin and Kojo is a black-British cartoon about a young couple. The comic is a series of single panel cartoons capturing hilarious and relatable moments they share with each other or with family and friends. While the cartoon seeks make humour of everyday moments, it also explores themes such as racial inequality, gender inequality, mental health, politics, and current events. Sarah Akinterinwa's goal in creating Oyin and Kojo was to fill one of many gaps that exist in the world of art, by de-stigmatising black relationships and normalising black people as cartoon characters.
